Business Cards: Creative Uses Part 1
If you wait for a person to ask you for a business card,
it could be a long wait. Many people that could use your
business card will not always come out and ask for it.
So, to get your business card out in the world, you will
want to place it and use it in different ways so it will
get in peoples hands.
Setting a stack of your cards on your desk or on a counter
still works, but what if you walk into a store, make
a purchase and leave a few there for others to pick up?
Little ideas like this will entice others to pick your
card up and look at it. Most will keep it with them if
they have control over picking it up. There is no pressure
for someone to pick your card up if you are not around
to watch. Hence, you have more chances for potential
clients and customers when you are not watching.
• When you meet someone or introduce yourself,
hand that person a business card (or two). When a person
reads your card and hears you say your name, studies
have shown that that person will remember your name better
with the combination of reading and hearing your name. |

• Insert a business card (or two) with every letter
you write and every bill you pay. The person receiving
the letters or bills will have a quick reference for
remembering you and a second to pass on to a friend,
family member or co-worker. You never know when someone
in another field might need your services or products.
You use their services, so give that person a chance
to know how you can help him or her.
• Leave a few by the sink at a public restroom.
There is always a chance for someone to wash his or her
hands and take one with them.
• Set a stack down by the register at a store or
a restaurant to for others.
• Leave a few on the table at a restaurant with
